Brief

The Challenge

Design and develop a website for the Rakaia Lions Club that enables customers to easily browse, select, and order flower bulbs online.

Problem

The Issue

The Rakaia Lions Club currently manages bulb orders through phone calls, which has become difficult to coordinate. As order volumes have grown, the process has become time-consuming and difficult to organise, leading to a greater risk of errors, missed information, and inefficiencies.

Outcome

The Result

A website design that provides customers with a simple way to browse available flower bulbs, view product information, and place orders online. By centralising the ordering process into a single digital platform, the solution reduces administrative workload, improves organisation and accuracy, and creates a more efficient experience for both customers and the club.

How I Got There

Research

I began by looking through existing flower bulb websites and their current ordering processes. This helped me consider how the ordering experience could look for the Rakaia Lions Club.

Prototyping

I created a hi-fi prototype for both mobile and desktop versions to allow the client to visualise the experience and sign off on the design before development.

I created a high-fidelity prototype using the existing branding, alongside the updated site map, ready to be handed off to the development team.
